- Province of Cuneo
Overlooked by castles, the austere witnesses of its medieval past, and full of villages of character, the province of Cuneo has generally managed to retain its urban fabric of yesteryear.
It offers its victors around 40 manor-houses and noble residences, to which can be added 15 small urban centres placed under the protection of national associations in charge of valorising the historical, artistic and ecological heritage of the towns. Among the points of interest are the historical centres :
crossroads where different styles of architecture are concentrated, from Romanesque to Gothic, and the Baroque which developed considerably in these places and which gave distinction to the main towns.
